Every Sunday night here in DC for decades, 7pm till 11 is a retrospective schedule of mostly pre-1960 US radio drama on WAMU-fm
Tonight, Aside from the usual Dragnet, Dollar & Dodge, is airing a masterpiece.
a look at WW2 as it ended... aired Aug 1995...
"50 Years After Fourteen August"
Norm Corwin's harsh cutting heroic romantic prose,
centered almost wholly on the delivery of Charles Kuralt with but occasional help from Pat Carol, some select music, and only a few striking punctuating fx.

who can still accomplish this...?
