I just bought a CAD Equitek E100S last week. The issue is that even the slightest wind hitting the face of the mic makes it cut out (i.e. no audio). Put a pop fliter in front of it and it stops. Has anyone else had this happen with the E100S?

Send it back immediately and get another one. They have ongoing QC issues.

I've had mine for two years with no issues. Sounds like you got a bad unit.

Ugh. They're still having issues? There are too many good affordable mics out there to have to put up with this nonsense.

I did return it for full refund. When it did work, it sounded so much like my KSM27 that it was pointless to exchange it for another one.
