So...a telephony client asked me if I had any music they could use for new their Message on Hold system.

"SURE!" - I said...confident in my ability to serve my client

Then...I went to install the program that I hadn't gotten around to installing on my Win10 PC since it's been a couple of years since a client asked for Music....aaaaaaaand it wouldn't install.

Emailed Tech Support
They responded!
Thank you Baby Cheeses!
Installed newer version.
It worked!
Thank you Baby Cheeses...again!
Then....I..... listened.....to....the.....library.
.
.
.
.
.
I told them to go to POND5 since they deserved better than what I could provide for them

OMG....that music sounded so dated! It was really weird since when I bought it it was really good.
Wow.

As an aside, going forward...who else would you guys recommend for royalty-free music?

+1 for Audio Jungle, and I've even found tunes I like so much I put 'em in my FAVES playlist.

I'm looking at doing a studio clear-out and I've also got production music and elements FROM THE 90'S.

I have loved it to bits-- even wrote fan letters to the makers. But that Guitar-and-Electric-Piano Ballad-y thing and the Stutter Exciter Swoosh aren't going to be landing in any of my projects.

Don't know what to do with the CDs!

I purchased some big collections in the first decade of this millennium and while some of it is growing more passé by the day, a lot of it would be useful if I were still producing... but I'm not. All voice all the time.

Maybe I should sell it off. The ultimate "needle drop".

So do I DB. I still have a disc full of the zinger/zappers SFX and production music from the late 80's and some from the 90's.

A few months ago I worked for a guy that used to be my boss when I did audio production. He was using Pond5 tracks now even though he's a good composer in his own right. Highly recommend as well.
