Yep, all the cakes and other pictures I have posted here over the years were hosted on Photobucket, so searches of the archives will result in that same notice coming up, in place of the pictures. They sure as hell aren't getting any money from me.
I have Photobucket pictures on several of my websites, but my hosting plan includes unlimited storage, so I am just moving all my pictures to my own site. It's kind of a pain in the ass because I have to identify which pix the are, upload them to my host, and modify the code on all the pages where they live. So far, I have only one site fully transitioned.
By the way, AOL is doing something similarly stupid. They have discontinued their old free interface and replaced it with a fee-based one. There was little enough reason to look at AOL before; that has now dropped down to around zero. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Many have switched to imgur.com
There are others, of course.
I used to use dropbox for similar graphic displays.
But, they no longer allow it as well.
Go figure.
Evidently, it's a bandwidth thing. _________________ "I reserve the right to be completely wrong." |

Host pictures on your own domain/website perhaps?
I know when I used Wordpress (seems like a very popular option for folks) -- I could also install a photo gallery on my hosted domain. _________________ "The wise ones fashioned speech with their thought, sifting it as grain is sifted through a sieve." - Buddha
