There was at least one scientific study published debunking milk's effect on mucus production. No problem for me with milk. I cannot handle fat free.

However my friend, they haven't been doing it from animals pumped with drugs to make them produce more because naturally their bodies don't work that way. But back to 'Milk or no Milk'...

The way I see it is, since we’re all pretty much different, at least the way our environment affects us, the best way to treat it is like P2P’s. (Yessss! I was able to work P2P’s into this. AWESOME!!!) Try it, and see if it works for you.

Some people smoke and get lung cancer at 25. Others live till they’re 108 and smoked two packs a day in getting there. It’s not like you’re cutting off an arm and it won’t grow back. Try quitting for a while and if it makes you feel / sound better, it works for you. It worked for me. Then again so do P2P’s, but we won’t go there?

Got Milk? Nope, been free of it and cheese now for about 5 years. Reason, health of course, no more mucus, clogged arteries, and just feel better and not bloated. Like cereal too, not the packaged big brands with metal filings in them and GMO, but the alternatives with almond, flax, or rice milk. Ice Cream I still crave, but alternatives there too.

i suppose i'm just going to die. i like milk, cheese & ice cream & haven't noticed any "gunking up" of the passages. probably distracted by the clogging of my aorta.

I'm with you Todd. Everyone these days seems so worried about fat. Even cholesterol is a calculated number based partially on your triglycerides which become elevated by carbohydrates not fats. Guess what they put in your low-fat milk when the take out fat? Carbohydrates - which can be a much greater threat.

I had elevated cholesterol and high triglicerides so the doc gives me a prescription for a statin drug. Went back several months later with good levels. Doc says the statin is really helping. I said no as I handed back the unfilled prescription and said it was a low carb diet and exercise.

Don't get me started on the gluten free craze. If you haven't tested positive for celiac disease you shouldn't worry about it.

I will drink milk, eat cheese and gluten.

once i get my hops rhizomes producing to speed (probably a couple of years) i'm planning on putting in a couple of acres of high gluten two-row barley. i'll let you figure out the end result for yourselves.

Lactose-free milk here ever since a nasty bout of food poisoning a few years ago. I find I like the flavor better and don't have much gunkiness. Right now our state is being bathed in forest fire smoke, so I'm getting gunking from breathing in all the particulates.

Perhaps. But, after 15+ years of listening to doctors (including a highly-recommended allergist), the result of which was not improvement but maintenance and even exacerbation of my condition – not to mention the negative effect on my wallet, I decided trying to learn more on my own was a better approach.

I gave up milk, and all dairy products, over 30 years ago when it was discovered I had a dairy allergy. I had been chronically underweight all my life. I gained 15 pounds in the first two weeks after giving up dairy (from 93 lbs to 108 lbs). I had much more energy and stamina. And I have never looked back.

Emma's easy recipe for dairy free ice cream:

Roughly chop some bananas. Shove in freezer. When frozen, slam in Vitamix with a dash of oat milk and a maybe little agave, if needed. Blend until it's all soft and gooey. Sprinkle on a handful of seeds and enjoy.

Yum!

Yes.

Was raised on good old fashioned vitamin D milk my entire childhood. I drank it raw, ate cereal for more than one meal, everyone in the house baked with it, and I had it at school lunch in middle and high school every day.

I went to college and took a health and wellness class my freshman semester and after the chapter on nutrition, I gave up drinking it raw and putting it on cereal by the time I graduated.

For the last 15 years, I was still eating dairy in alternate forms and using dairy as a condiment.

For the past 4 years, I have noticed that by eliminating dairy PERIOD, I have drawn down the majority of mucus my body creates...which was affecting the quality of my reads.

From a nutritional and professional standpoint, for my body, it was a hinderance that needed to be removed.
