Considering that there is some compelling evidence that Polynesian people may have settled in South America long before the Mongolians came across to become American Indians, and that the Chinese explored our West Coast before the Vikings visited our East Coast, maybe we should just have "Explorer Day".....
Actually, it is kind of a half-assed holiday when mostly just the banks and government agencies take the day off. We need a better idea for a holiday we can all enjoy.

I want a day named after me....oh wait - kidding - but how about one for my cat Patches - he brings love to many...ok maybe the nobel prize for the cat.
