I can promise that you would never regret having UAD plugins. Even with the hardware purchase. They run great with Cubase (and Nuendo) , which is what I use them with. Worth every penny Corey. Smile

Universal Audio has a number of compressor options that emulate real world stuff. I love the LA2A and the 1176.

I use a Universal Audio plug-ins on nearly everything I produce.
