I was lucky enough to voice an online commercial for Red Robin restaurants, touting their holiday milkshake. The link if you're interested is below. The site rotates through their commercials or you can just select #2 to go right to it.

Funny, I gave them a handful of takes and they chose my least favorite, but hey, my fancy burger budget is taken care of for the rest of the year. Yummm.

Yum!!
Very nice - and you too Bruce! I wonder if the gingerbread shake has chocolate in it. I love that combination. |

I really do like your voice, mate. It's unique. Friendly and enjoyable.
Can I borrow it for just a couple of days. I'll give it right back.
Just want to experience what it's like to have such a cool voice and super chops.
I want one of those shakes and I hate ginger.

Great Bruce!! I auditioned for that one and now I know why I didn't get it. You are the natural choice. Nicely done. Now where the heck is a Red Robin near me.. I want a shake. _________________ Gregory Best

Like Greg said, now I know why I haven't gotten any of the Red Robin gigs I've auditioned for. But now I don't mind. My local Red Robin is in the same shopping plaza as Trader Joe's. I guess I ought to go and suck down one of those shakes. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Thanks for the kind words, Gents. I'm actually partial to The Skipper, mostly because....ready for it?......."I played him on stage". Actually, when I was running the Mill Avenue Theatre here, Sherwood Schwartz who created Gilligan's Island saw a show of ours and invited our production team out for drinks. He said he was working on a stage version of the show and would we be interested in doing a staged reading so he could see and hear how it looked? We agreed of course and a few days later we put on a performance with limited movement and scripts in hand before a small invited audience.
It was an odd script and featured aliens and such if I remember, and when it finally went up on stage in Chicago it came crashing down soon after. My brush with fame....
