Somewhat off topic but I had a job last month where the client sent me the animation video with a scratch track of computer generated VO, complete with mispronounced words or syllables strangely emphasised in the middle of words, the timing of which I had to match.
Utterly bizarre but still comforting to know that we're still some way from being replaced by machines. _________________ Simon Fellows

My telephone announces who is calling and I love how it mangles the words and names. _________________ Elaine

This is OK, but what is rally needed is a contraption that can turn the spoken word into printed text.
I know they're getting close in some software pkgs...but not good enough to replace the most dreaded task in every TV newsroom: transcribing interviews.

Dave,
Are you aware of "Dragon Naturally Speaking"? I have this program and use it if I'm writing a monologue or story. You can correct yourself or make changes by speaking them. |
