This from that Q of the day:
"Because a movie's eventual success weighs so heavily on its trailer, it's not likely producers will take a chance on a novice, especially with people like LaFontaine hogging all the jobs. And he's not giving them up. In an interview with the Chicago Tribune, his advice to budding voice-over talent: "Wait `til I die."
that's for damn sure, and has anyone EVER heard a woman VO on a trailer...?? (which as kids we always called "previews" )

I can't say that I have... but I hear lots of women doing voice overs everyday on TV and the radio. I personnaly don't look at "trailers" as a last frontier for women VO artists. It is up to the client to pick and choose the voice that they feel best represents their product or film. I think that the question I would pose to the women on this BB should be... " Have you ever auditioned for voicing a movie trailer?... got accepted?... or turned down?"
