VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

A few here probably know that the Columbia Gorge is Mecca for windsurfers around the world as it has steady heavy winds and huge river swells up to 20 ft. Similar to ocean waves.. I've been windsurfing since 1989 and it's what brought me to Washington/Oregon from Chicago where I learned to windsurf from my condo on Lake Michigan.

Today was one of those epic days with steady 30mph winds with gusts to 37 and 15ft swells that I had a blast ripping and surfing. Had my small sail and wave board out and fully powered and sometimes overpowered in those gusts. You can ride a river swell like that for quite a distance then jibe (turn) and catch another on the way back! It's truly a religious experience riding swells that big.
