Hello and welcome Sez I hope you find all you are looking for here in a "lookie forie" kinda way. More important I hope you have fun and make friends. In nearly 23 years of being on this board I almost made one once but he turned out to be trying to sell me his book "37 Secrets Hollywood doesn't care about your voice over career success in millions so step up to the ATM" published by Preignored and Riptup.

You're living in a very lovely city! Dublin is great.

Wow! I didn't know that himself had been on this board for 23 years!!! Gasp Shows what a good place it is to hang around. You'll learn a lot and meet some good peeps.

Welcome! Smile

Sarah,

Welcome to the VO-BB. I got ever so brief a glimpse of your fair city a year ago when I was on a business trip to Belfast and had to drive down to Dublin to meet an incoming flight from one of our team that had to take a different flight across the pond.

There's loads of gold buried in the archives here, some of it left there by our Mr. Banks, whom you've all ready met (and his dry wit) earlier in this thread.

....his wet wit is worse, but sometimes wittier.

Enjoy yourself in all the nonsense and complete sense.

Sarah,

The trouble with Philip making friends here is that once anyone gets to know him well enough to pay a visit, he gives them the "walking with Jazz" test which entails taking his fabby Border Collie out for a charge around on the beach.

It's great fun until it's time to go in because Jazz doesn't listen to anyone but Philip, so a whole horde of us has accumulated out here, trying to call to Jazz to get him to come in. We're living in the ice house now.

send from my Blackberry, Portgordon Beach

Hey Sarah!
Welcome!
I LOVE Dublin!
My husband &I spent a week there in 2004 and had such a blast!...the Musical Pub tour especially! Wink ...although the dorm room we rented at Trinity College to save some $$ was...shall we say...a bit small...think a cell block! Rolls Eyes

Welcome to our wacky corner of the 'Net!

Céad Míle Fáilte Sez!Sarcastic

As Bob mentioned, dig deep in the archives, lots of great stuff in there. And there are lots of generous, talented VO folks on this board with amazing insights, encouragement and answers when you need them. A visit to Dublin's on my bucket list. I'm the only sibling not to get there yet (my grandmother came from Roscommon).

Just remember, last one to bed turns of the computer and the lights, the new gal brings the donuts to morning meeting and don't get Todd wet.

btw- do we need to up Banksey's meds? He's losing track of time again.

Hi there and welcome! I spent a week roaming around your island some years ago. Began in Belfast, worked my way south to Dublin and environs, spending some time in Parstonstown (Birr), and thereabouts. I'd love to get back some time and see everything I didn't see the first time!

Welcome to the fray, Sarah! My wife and I spent almost two weeks in Ireland on our belated honeymoon back in '02. Flew into Shannon, drove to Dublin where we spent a few days, then wandered around the southern part of the country for the rest. One of the castles there (Kilkenny Castle) was occupied by my wife's family's ancestors, which is partly what prompted the trip. That and a general obsession with all things Irish. Smile

Happy to have you here! Smile
