It's my box!!!! Which has it's own thread around here somewhere. That idea comes from a certain Grammy winning Douglas Spotted Eagle. It's so funny that mpj posted that. What DVD is that from?

It was found while surfing around, at the site www.thephi.com. When I saw it I did think of the box you made. |

Bill,
Their prices on foam are great. In your opinion, does it match up to the more expensive stuff in terms of sound absorption? _________________ Great Voice. Great Choice. For Voice Talking and stuff.

Anyone have any experience comparing Foam Factory foam versus the more expensive stuff? How does it compare? |

Ethan Winer says it doesn't compare. Look on this page for some info: http://www.realtraps.com/data.htm
Now, with that being said I've heard about lots of folks (some on this board) that use FBM products and are happy with them. I suppose it really depends on how much absorbtion you really need and how much you're willing to spend on it.
So far I've selected 2 inch Auralex foam and fabric covered Owens Corning 703 for my stuff.

Mind you... this house was built in 1969, and it's located in a 55+ retirement neighborhood. We are only the 3rd or 4th owners since it was built. Most of the people who lived hear have been in their 70's...80's...and 90's. That means everything inside is still 1969. Not too much remodeling done since it was built. So... to make a long story short... I've been doing small improvements, here and there, trying to bring some features of this house into the 21st century. |
Bailey,
That sounds exactly like a subdivision I did a narration for earlier this year for a San Diego Realtor that I've been working with. By CHANCE , is where you live in or near Rancho Bernardo ??
Take care,
Don |

I've been very pleased with the quality of the foam. I bought acoustic foam from Markertek and this seems to surpass that. Be sure to get a minimum of 2" for best effectiveness.
Sorry for my late reply. I've been rcording a band here. The 3AM sessions are awesome! |

The area is Rancho Bernardo. The name of the subdivision is Seven Oaks... a 55 and above community. _________________ "Bailey"
