I say inaccurate because the three samples are all different. This link:
http://www.blackstoneaudio.com/search.cfm?SPAGE=2&SEARCH=Ray%20Porter&catid=Ray%20Porter
Will take you to the page on Blackstone audio that has three titles of mine all recorded with different mics.
The constant in all of these is that they were recorded in ProTools through an Avalon vt-737sp at their studios.
TITLE/ MIC
And the hippos were boiled--- Pearlman TM-1
The vagabond virgins--- Rode NT-1 A
The Black Hole Wars--- Neumann U87
the sample in the Pearlman is a characterish voice, and I know this cannot be a true A/B test. But this is the first sample I have available of my new Pearlman microphone and I said I would put it up as soon as I could. |

Nice "reads". That Pearlman sounds great!!
NT1A sounds good. Surprisingly thew U87 was the
weakest - to my ears. _________________ www.asapaudio.com |
