I'm considering moving my computer away from my recording area, but am unsure about long USB runs.
Have any of you used this or similar product?

I'm using an Edirol UA-25.
Thanks,

I have used both USB and Firewire extenders, mostly for video control. Audio via these extenders tends to have a bit of latency and is prone to transients unless you have shielded cable with your Cat 5. Be very careful not to run these parallel to your homes electrical wires.
Have fun. You can find these for as low as $55.00 on the web.
