Hi George and other technically non-challenged folks:

Okay, my ISDN mixer setup is similar to what George described in Caryn's recent topic, though I have my outputs from the Prima routed into Channels 3 and 4 of the Mackie 1202. First off, there's not a good reason to use two channels,, is there? I'd be okay just devoting a double-channel connection like 7/8, which is currently free, to this routing. Is that correct?

But the main reason I'm posting is that I'm trying to record another talent along with myself through the ISDN. My voice is obviously being recorded directly, through my Main XLR out, and I'm routing my signal to the far end through Aux 1, and as mentioned have incoming signal through Lines 3 and 4. I've been controlling my level on this with the Gain knob on the bottom of the strip and mainly using that to hear the direction. But in this case, I'd like to record that end--As it is now, the level of the far end is very, very low, probably around -22 db or less. I have my Trim turned down all the way. When I boosted it, it didn't seem to matter, though by that point I was trying a little of this and a little of that, so I'm not sure exactly what I did, but I know it was still too low.

Any thoughts/help on what knobs to turn?
