I stumbled upon this website while walking through a graveyard... not what you think. I also did a search through VO-BB archives and found no reference.
Voice Per Minute
Is this an unusual way of doing business, or is it just a different spin for a P2P website? _________________ "Bailey"

Bad spelling throughout the pages I've checked out. Talks about the commition owed on a job, etc....I get a little suspect on stuff like that. _________________ Chris Mezzolesta, Voice Talent

As far as the particulars...
Site was registered through Go Daddy.

Based in Israel.
I also saw the many spelling errors, and it appears you have to get registered before you find out information about rates. _________________ "Bailey"

Looks like you can set your own rate. They approached me awhile back and the guy seemed super nice. I never followed through with his invitation to join up because there was no way to differentiate whether something was for broadcast or not, and to deal with usage and stuff.
Either that, or I just wasn't bright enough to figure it out. _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

From what I read in the FAQ section, it's not a pay 2 play site. It's free to get on it but they check your audio before you are accepted and they take a commission. You set your own per minute rates.
It's all ok until they say that they'll pay us within 60 days of the client approving the audio! I'm not working to see my money being put in an interest account for 60 days in a far away foreign country. It's much harder to recover money 60 days later than straight away. Also, I don't want to work several jobs for two months to discover that they don't pay. It's a very long time to wait for us to know if they are trustworthy. The 60 days aren't fair. The rest seems fine.
I think I might write to them and see if they'd accept to change their 60 days policy for me. (who doesn't ask, doesn't get) _________________ www.clairedodin.com |
