Hilarious because it's so true.

How much you wanna bet me that most people will just buy gramma a new TV instead of going through that hassle?

Just went through all that this last weekend and STILL couldn't pick up the Fox or ABC stations here since they're both run by the same company and are transmitted on 14.1 and 14.2 here. Went out and got several antennae to try, but none of them made a difference. GAH

The picture on the channels I was able to get was awesome, though. Unfortunately, I ended up re-packing all the gadgets up and will take it all back. Our phone company is running a special on a package that includes Dish tv, so we're going for that.

Hi Connie,

Long time no speak.

Holy crap that's funny. I sent the link to others here at the office and I can hear the laughter down the hall.

Thanks for sharing.

Not for me, really. Especially now that the Red Sox and Dodgers are one game away from ending their seasons... I don't watch much TV at all, but the wife and kids do.

And hi, Nelson. I see we're practically neighbors. I live in Hermon. Welcome to the VOBB!

The operative phrase and predictor of the future is when she points to her monitor and ask, "Is this my new TV?"
It's a conspiracy!

Hey Greg!

I know the town of Hermon well. Yep, moved to the area in the late 70s to attend UMaine. BTW, you can catch my afternoon drive radio show M-F, 2p-7p, on 92.9 WEZQ...sorry, it's Lite Rock.

Wasn't Connie's video a hoot? Okay, raise your hand if you know a sweet elderly lady like the one we just saw. I loved the way she spelled out the web address at the end.

I recognized your name right away, Nelson (part of living in a small town, after all). Good to run into you here as well!

I was on the phone with my grandfather the other night and was explaining to him how the DTV worked and how he could get it going. Since he lives outside of L.A., I told him he wouldn't have any trouble getting all the stations in if he were to go with the converter box and the antenna that's already on his roof. He likes to PLAY dumb when it comes to technology, but I know he's just skiddish about having to learn something new. He can handle it, but he still prefers to write letters with his 60+ year old typewriter and then use those things called stamps...
