i do hope it's not too soon to inject a little levity into what has started out as a very somber week.
but thanks to my first booking through voices.com, i are a 'toon.
they've given me the okay to post the full video on my clogged blog:
http://voices2go.wordpress.com/2008/09/02/uncle-sami-am/
i hope it takes some of the sting off your week. _________________ rowell gormon

Nice work Rowell. Many happy bookings to return.
I tried to leave a comment on your blog, but it didn't seem to take.
Be well,

thanks, all. it has been a much needed "up" in a period of severe "other".
and don't worry, sam. your comment was merely delayed in my manual approval process (i was taking time away from the computer for some steven colbert).
i checked the "green" video. smooth voice. did you do the other guy(s) as well? _________________ rowell gormon

No. That was the animator/writer Mark Greene. We were friends in Houston at the High School for Performing and Visual Arts and hooked up through the wonder of the internet.
He won an Emmy last year for his other piece on global warming. He started doing "Stinkytoons" as a lark and they really took off.
You can find them all at:
http://www.stinkytoons.com/
As an avid garage sale junkie, I loved his take on that. They all have a a dark funny sensibility that I love.
Night. |

Wow...that was really fantastic. Totally believed your character - fully developed.
I thought the piece was really good too - made me smile. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover
