This is totally off topic and I hope you don't mind me taking up some band width but wanted to share something with you...we moved back to KC a couple of years ago and have missed The LONE STAR STATE something fierce....my daughter can't wait to get back and is starting Texas Tech in a matter of days so my lovely wife and I took her on a date last Saturday night and visited a great little place called Jardine's...a wonderful KC jazz club. Ida McBeth was there and she is quite the local legend...in my opinion...she is simply AWESOME...like VO, like VO-BB there is a ton of talent out there in every city...KC certainly is no exception...of course if I knew so much I would be dethroning Don LaFontain...anywho Ida is amazing and I thought I would share a tune with you....

Here's too all the fathers sending their daughters off to college!

Cheers,
Jeff

Jeff

When I am not causing a problem here or working for SaVoa, I have another job. I produce a little program called Jazz Out of The Mainstream. www.jotm.org A one hr program that features Jazz artist that are not signed to a record label. It current only airs on WFDD in Winston-Salem/Greensboro/High-Point marked. I believe it is rates as # 45 in the nation.

I like what you shared and would love to get some material from Ida McBeth. I would give her air play on my show. If you can help me hook up I would appreciate it.

If you can help let me know. Thanks for sharing.

Ed

Kansas City will always have my admiration for fostering jazz talent such as the great Count Basie!
