My misfortune is your good luck! M-Audio replaced these otherwise great desktop monitors after they somehow got a short from the active (left) monitor to the passive (right) monitor. I couldn't wait the six weeks for them to determine that I deserved a brand new pair. So I upgraded to the Studiophile BX5a Deluxe. Now I'm selling these on eBay with a starting bid of only $120. Everywhere else the bids start at $150, which is what I paid for them. Only two more days left. Head to this link if you're interested:
