|
|
I need to replace my old travel case, and was thinking of getting one of the three Digidesign canvas travel cases.
I'll need to carry a MacBook, the Mbox2 Mini, a mic in a case (about 9.5" x 2.5 " x 4.5") and a small rat's nest of cables.
I don't think I need the big Digi case, but is anyone using either the Digidesign Mbox 2 Backpack or the Digidesign Mbox2 Shoulder Bag?
Also, which one looks more stylish? (Kidding.)
Thanks, Jim _________________ Jim Barton

meh, depends on what you're doing... just touring about, grab a good Targus backpack, or the Digidesign.
Travelling across the country, grab a Pelican.
Actually unless you HAVE to have a backpack, I'd go with a Pelican. They're definitely more secure. _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

I got a Digi M-bag when I got my Mbox1 back in 2004.
It goes everywhere with me, it has been a carryon for a zillion cross-country trips. I've only just noticed, in May, a tiny bit of "give" where the right backpack strap attaches on the bottom.
Seriously, it's the best thing I ever got for my computer. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

I like the Pelican stuff, too, and they are very affordable. They have a series of briefcase sized cases that can hold a lot of stuff. You can probably eliminate your extra mic case with on of these. Check out the 1470 and variations of this design. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

I just build a VO2GO kit using the 1495 for a client and it worked out great. It holds everything but a printer (use the 1510 when a printer is needed).
I add a 1/2" layer of foam to the lid and make a cutout for the MBP 15" and mic, and the rest goes in the bottom half. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
