Just bought a month ago....a brand new Violet Design mic, from the folks who brought you Blue mics. It's a unique 2 piece design that offers different capsules emulating classic mics from the 47 to the C-12, which then lock into the base called a Global Pre, no tools needed. The capsule that comes with this Global Pre is modeled after the U67 and it is the closest thing I've heard to a real original. Great build quality and the sound is big, full & lush with nice highs....which doesn't work for my voice like my old standby 416. Got a deal on it at $1400 about a month ago & used once. Normal list price is closer to $1600. Yours for $1300 and worth every penny. I know it seems like a lot but this is the mic with "that sound". A great female mic too! I will cover shipping.
