I thought I knew enough British to understand it if I hear it, even if I can't speak or write it so well. After this, I'm questioning that assumption!
I think I need Austin Powers & his dad to translate. Or somethin. _________________ Lou Zucaro

I was born and bred in Somerset, south west of England. The sound Bob Kingsley faithfully recreates is that of many of the rural, particularly farming folk of the county.
They drink cider - Zydurr. Greet you with a hearty " 'ow be on my sunner?" Should they find what you have said to be unbelievable with eyebrows raised they'll say "Awwww gid on wid ee". A forty three year old will report his age as "Farty dree". |

Philip,
Thank you for this wonderful link and the further background. Absolutely opaque to me, but even so a delight to the ears. _________________ Be well,

Funny stuff!!! Brought back memories of when we lived in London and we went adventuring down through Somerset. Great fun sitting in the locals and listening to the accents.
