I recently discovered this gem on a radio board and I've been very pleased with the selection and quality of sound effects available. So I thought I'd share for those of you that produce as well.

I love that site- it saved me recently when there was one tiny sound I didn't have.

And considering I have over 30,000 SFX in my library- that's sayin' somethin'!

I just found a great set of didgeridoo clips on there, just what I needed! And, yes, we have a whole studio full of sampling keyboards and libraries...

She makes little purry noises all day long; she chases invisible things all around, making weird moans. She talks to me hourly about the need to go outside onto the porch...

But... the ONE time you get her in front of a mic, she's Miss "I'm not ready for my closeup..."

I like the fact that it's a sharing site.

It's endorsed by some heavy hitters, too, so I'd bet the quality is going to be pretty terrific overall.

I've only been playing with it a couple of weeks but overall the quality is very good.

I've been a bit concerned about possible liability issues. Like what happens if somebody uploads copyrighted material and I use it in a production but after reading through all the FAQ and legal stuff in the forum I feel better. It appears to be a very well run outfit.

Just a few years ago, there were only one or two sites with a handful of WAVs that were maybe usable, maybe not. This is a definite step forward. Bookmarked!
