But it's the rule of law here for the reason that we all (most of the time) genuinely like each other.

I'm not going to allow private politics to infect this whatevertheheck this is.

My husband belongs to a weather discussion forum that apparently doesn't have much monitoring. He says the most simple thread can disintegrate into political shtuff and it stops being interesting to read, and really puts ya in a bad mood.

So, kudos to the 'twisted mom' (as Bob pointed out) for keeping us friendly and happy Smile

in my own "second family" (a sunday-night moviewatching group), we have our own informal rule, borrowed from linus in that peanuts halloween tv special. we don't discuss politics, religion...or the great pumpkin.

we've been getting together sunday nights now for over 20 years. there must be a connection.
