Took dog for walk and nearly broke my ankle. Bad sprain so walking with a lisp.
Tuesday - Commercial for conference in the middle east , different venue
Very long session for a pharmaceutical company. Didn't take all
month, just seemed like it.
Discovered that a near neighbour's grand daughter was dying to take Jazz for walks. How could I deprive the poor child?
Wednesday - 1 x radio ad's designer label outlet (I assume one gets the
clothing along with the label)
Session for national UK store a bit like Woolworth.
Session for German company selling a "Light", very illuminating.
On to Denmark for an employment DVD.
Santa voice and Polar bear growl for Christmas commercial.
**** my ankle hurts like a Simon Cowell critique.
Thursday - First session 8am UK time don't recall for what as I wasn't
awake.
10am a 1 TV ad session grew to a 2, one for Panasonic and one for
the AECC which is a concert venue.
3 commercials for RAKBANK _ "Go on, borrow money YOU
KNOW YOU WANT TO!!!"
Corporate video on tractors - Deutz Fahr. How Fahr wasn't made
clear.
2 scripts for Casio cameras.
Took dog for a limp. I limped he ran and bounded about like only a Border Collie can. He didn't want to he was just doing it to annoy me. Took a late night drive to Elgin and bought a new printer and ink cartridges, Cheaper than replacing the ink for my old printer.
Friday - Session for Thomas Cook, UK travel company.
After this, nothing, nothing glorious nothing. Went out for a curry night at a local restaurant (never eaten their before). The pleasure was up there with the pleasure my ankle has given me all week.

McVitie's plain chocolate digestives, that's plain as in dark chocolate - DELISH!
Next week is going to be fab. A chance remark nearly 18 years ago from someone set me on the path to voice talking and the person who made that remark is being collected from Aberdeen airport on Thursday. Haven't seen Alison for over 5 years so it's going to be acey-brill. |

Oddly, Philip, my week was much the same. Except for all the jobs, the dog, and the physical exercise. Oh, and the curry.
I can commiserate with the sprain, though. |

Oh I want to play!
Monday: Started 79 page narration for major pharma client - voiced and edited and sent as I went along. Sprinkled a few MOHs and a few holiday spots for the local ABC affiliate. (yea, already!) Did pick ups on first half of pharma narration.
Tuesday: Finished pharma narration. A few more MOHs and got to dust off my British accent spot for "The Secret Garden" at the Shubert in CT(which I'm sure Banksey would cringe at hearing). Took youngins to a work site of an Extreme Home Makeover being done here in NH with the kids (bought myself an overpriced sweatshirt!)
Wednesday: Pick ups on pharma narration. A few MOHs, tried to find pronounciatons for Jordian businesses for Amman spot. Thought about sending out invoices.
Thursday: Pick ups on Jordanian spot. Did a freebie for church client.
Made 2 dozen cupcakes for youngest's Halloween party (complete with plastic spider in each).
Friday: Updated commercial demo and sent to my brandy new agent. A couple of quick spots for a Boston client. Sent out invoices (finally!).
Ordered a balloon bouquet and birthday cake for eldest child's 21st birthday celebration, baked two dozen brownies for tonight's highschool football game...off to game..daughter is in the school band, and they wear costumes for the Halloween game...very fun to see (daughter and friend went as Red Sox Players).
Sat: Went to eldest child's final performance of of "Parade", brought along balloon bouquet and cake for him to share with cast and crew during strike of set. Came home and watched SOX WIN!!
Sun: Trick or treat here in Manch-vegas...raked leaves and handed out candy, then into Boston tonight with all three youngins to see Wicked!!! _________________ Moe Egan

Hmmm. I've never played one of Philip's games before. Might be fun.
Monday morning, early. Having been stuck in Austin, TX for the night after Eric and I missed our flight Sunday evening, we boarded our flight home at O'Dark:30. Changed planes in Washington DC, and made it back to Charlotte by 2:00 PM, just in time to dash to the studio for recording of 5 national radio spots.
Tuesday. Recorded voiceover and promo for national television special. Recorded narration for on-going client in Pittsburgh, PA. Recorded liners and promo for station imaging client in Tampa, FL.
Wednesday. More work for client in Pittsburgh. Additional pieces for national television special. Recorded 3 promos for station imaging client in San Francisco, CA.
Thursday. More work for client in Pittsburgh. Recorded IVR prompts for client in multiple cities in North Carolina. Received word for regular client in California that his next narration script would arrive the next day.
Friday. Directed talent in session for 10 national radio spots, including 2 dialog spots in which I played one the parts, and one for which I supplied the announcer lines. Recorded narration for video package to be played at stadium event later this year. Drove to Atlanta, GA for the weekend to take part in voiceover training sessions along with Caryn Clark, Tom Ackerman and 5 of my other new friends. Met Caryn and Tom (and Caryn's friend Cindy Neill) in the lobby of our hotel for some delightful conversation (sorry, no pictures yet; but they're coming). Then up to my hotel room to record narration for my California client, the script having arrived while I was driving.
Saturday morning. Finished edits to narration for client and delivered audio. _________________ Be well,

Moe, did you enjoy Wicked? I love musicals, and honestly, I think it's one of the best I've seen... and I've seen many. And, I LOVE Extreme Home Makeover. What a great show... I love what they do for the people that really need it... and they all really do need it.
Ok, I'd share my week, but, well, I can't remember that far back, honestly. It was a very busy week though... very busy. Good stuff.
TODAY: recorded 6 pages of headlines and stories for a client (reoccuring gig). From start to the time the files are uploaded to my site - three hours of my time. It's ok though... money makes me happy. Did a one line pick up for a commercial I did last week. Talked to another client about sending an invoice for two TV commercials I did last week - need to know how much one of them is paying.
Hung out on vo-bb, rather than unpacking from weekend and doing laundry, going grocery shopping.
Have a glorious Junior League meeting tonight at 6 pm in final preparation for our huge fundraiser this coming weekend - Taste of the Town. Should be preparing for that right now, but, I'll just wing it.
Need to see my husband at some point here soon. _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!

Wicked was....well, Wicked Awesome! The show was as wonderful as I had hoped it would be.....and the kids (ages 10, 15 and 21) were mesmerized as soon as they walked into the Opera House (gorgeous theater built in 1928). _________________ Moe Egan

Chris, it is wonderful to read about your week. I was quite worn out from worrying about you and am glad you're home, safe, sleeping late and resting up! |

HOW THE OTHER HALF LIVES:
Monday - no VO jobs
Tuesday - no VO jobs
Wednesday - no VO jobs
Thursday - no VO jobs
Friday - no VO jobs
That's why I have a day job (or maybe my day job is why I have no VO work).

Monday - pass out business cards for VO work to vendors
Tuesday - pass out business cards at an exclusive party in Foundation room that I crashed
Wednesday - meet Dave Courvo for lunch, forget camera and business cards
Thursday - do on camera interview with Citrix PR people, make them laugh, pass out business cards to them
Friday - Fly home, pass out business card to wife.
Saturday - Do IVR for local medical office.
Sunday - go to Panther game, watch Payton Manning surgically destroy their defense. Yell too much to be any good for VO for the rest of the day.
They say to do something VO related every day! _________________ Try to imagine a world where there is no such thing as hypothetical situations.
