already mentioned - but it bears repeating: break-out sessions / round table discussions. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

Elaine Clark for a presenter. (I've already placed a suggestion in Penny's email) I also agree on the roundtable discussion on state of our industry. _________________ Bobbin Beam

Todd, Bobbin;
Who would you suggest for panel members of the Round Table on the State of the Industry?

I suggest inviting some top agents from around the country - not just the LA, NY, Chi agents - but people representing the voices doing the regional work as well. There are big differences in what they are hearing and needing. _________________ Playing for a living...

Seperate sessions for new folks and the more experienced. I think Bruce mentioned it way back. I couldn't agree more. I really don't want to sit through stuff I have heard a zillion and a half times. I'm jus sayin'.
Maybe a pick your own sessions kind of thing from a list. _________________ Ben

Much of what Ben is proposing is already in the works... you will some fun and new ideas at VOICE 2008.
New to VO, Technology, and Pro tracks are in the works.
Connie is thinking along the same lines as the VOICE crew also.

I'd like an Adobe Audition/ sound editing/engineering session aimed at the non-technicalish VO home studio folks. Not a how-to create a home studio session (although I'm sure some would appreciate that) I mean a software seminar. Maybe some nice person from Adobe would come and do it... Or Bryan from Dave & Dave's in L.A. (He does home studio house calls and is a great guy.)

Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, or Russi Taylor??? (Tara Strong, etc...)
Please, a female character actor would be AMAZING!
Plus, the pro or beginner classes would be great too! Oh Oh! And great agents- woohoo!
I can't wait! _________________ Threadjackers local 420

I think you should have Nancy Wolfson do a session based on her "Acting for Advertising" material. Super valuable insights behind the scenes of the way agents and casting people look at auditions and demos, what they're looking for, what books work and why. It would be tremendously valuable for anyone doing work, from part-time folks to working pros. _________________ Be well,

Amy, et al;
Just a quick note: An Adobe Audition "hands on" class is being discussed for the VO Trade Show. A familiarization class for * Pro Tools may also be available (I hope).
Some classes/seminars will be everyday, some specialized seminars will be scheduled in off-conference/off-track hours in the Voice Over Trade Show areas and may cost a few dollars extra (with pre-registration and preference to VOICE 2008 attendees) to attend while others will likely be FREE to attendees.
This year the Voice Over Trade Show and VOICE 2008 conference will be held simultaneously. VOICE 2008 attendees will get more BANG for their buck!

| I could pop over and interpret Nancy's presentation through the medium of contemporary dance. |

I wish you would. I'll get the kippers ready in case the dance is vigorous.

Now I would pay money - not a lot - but I would pay money to see Phillip's Dance interpretation.
LOL
