Greetings and salutations to all! OK have a computer now finally bought a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop, setting things up, slowly. Still need to buy my mic, going to use the free ware till I get learn more. Wanted to touch base with everyone to let you all know I've not fallen off the face of the earth... in case anyone was interested. Looking forward to getting my feet wet.
Could use some advice if anyone has any.
Sorry for all our folks in the west coast area effected by the fires, my heart and prayers go out to you all.
Will be making myself a pest here...

Hi Heather,
Welcome! This is a great place to learn and... have fun! I suspect you'll get plenty of advice along the way, just be a little more specific with your question.
In the meantime, here's your first bit of advice...
Please take advantage of reading the archives... its a treasure trove of professional advice, help, encouragement and tips and tricks on just about any topic.

hi heather! i remember you from VOICE, though we didn't meet. i recall your "quillsongs by heather" being the focus of a marketing talk, yes?
you may remember me: i was the one who couldn't breathe and nearly passed out after running up to the mic when rodney saulsbury called my name.
that was a very smart move.
