Could you all do me a favor? I created a commercial tonight using Adobe Audition for a ficticious insurance company. It's a hardsell with an AC/DC background. . .I'm trying to get my confidence up to actually take a crack at finally putting myself fully out there. I know I've been around VO-BB for almost 2 years now and haven't really done much of anything, but I've finally really had it up to here (about 6 feet, and I'm 5'9") with my employment the way that it is. I'm to the point now where I am fully ready to persue this dream (part time anyway, still need the job). So, now to my favor. I would like you all to please listen to this and give me any feedback that you would be willing to give. I feel that I'm ready to take the next step. I just need to learn how to put together an effective demo.

Thank you all so very much for your time,

Your friend

On the technical side...you should edit the breaths out. I 'm not feelin' the AC/DC music bed either.

Performance wise? Practice all that you can. Is there a local radio station that you might be able to intern at? You sound very green still at this point.

Overall? Not a bad first effort at all. Not demo quality yet though. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

i agree with chuck on the ac/dc music... to me doesn't seem like it fits with insurance.

not a bad first crack, though. keep practicing. yes try to get some work at a local radio station for practice.

are you looking at strictly VOs, or offering full service (copywriting and production)? _________________ Jim Feldman

I'm planning on offering full service, since I have the capability to do so. _________________ Christopher G. French

This thread should contain certain information that you need.

Are you stating that you have all of the production hardware... software... and vocal abilities, to provide a full service "voice over" project to a client? I'm not doubting your claim, I just want to be sure that I understand what you mean. _________________ "Bailey"
