I'm sorry to keep this going...but it is helping so much to have the feedback!

For those of you not getting a scroll bar the first time you enter the client page, if you wait a few seconds, does it appear?

(This may help us solve the issue)

If this is indeed what is happening- it means the image is too large...(the image being the entire page with pictures)...here are my options...

1. add the word “loading” so visitors know to wait a sec and when it loads it will cover the word
2. change the background to a flat color to further reduce the size of the image
3. Convert it to text (like the “about” page) and relocate the characters to surround the orange frame on the outside.

Any thoughts, oh wise members of the board?

Kara,

Here's what I'm seeing. In IE 7 (WinXP Pro SP2), I don't get a scroll bar for either your Clients or About pages. And for that matter, the pages are staying blank except for the background color. I waited over 10 seconds with no change.

In Firefox 2.0.0.6, I got both the information and the scroll bars right away.

In both browsers, something else strange is happening: I click the "get rid of the bee" link while look at your main page, if I go to either your Client or About pages, and then click the "I miss the bee" link, it takes me back to the home page as well as turning the bee back on. (As if I clicked both Home and "I miss the bee" at the same time.)

Out of morbid curiosity, I revisited your site. I think I'm hallicinating, because at first all worked fine (except I see that issue that Bob pointed out about returning the bee and going home--you see, Bob, the bee HAS to go home, because that's where the flowers are...but I digress--doesn't bother me that much because you can easily navigate back to where you want to go). But as I was about to report "all is well" I revisted the Clients page, and lo and behold the scroll bar wasn't there--I think. Because when I switched back to the home page and tried to recreate the problem, I couldn't duplicate it for the life of me (i.e., the scroll bar appeared every time). I'm suspecting it has something to do with the Flash code, but I don't know that much about Flash. Anyway...........just thought I'd give you some feeback. This must be frustrating for you....you know, getting Bob all upset and all...................take some deep breaths......

Kara,
I'm not sure about the solution, but In IE 6 Win 2000
I don't get a scroll bar for your Clients page at first at all (I waited about :30), but I AM getting it on the "About" page (again, the scroll bar does come back on Clients when I go BACK to the Clients page from another page)
I logged off your site twice, making each page (Clients/About) the first click to make sure.

Now that Bob mentioned it (I hadn't noticed it before, but hadn't tried to get rid of the bee except from the home page) if I also click the the "I miss the bee" link on Clients or About, it takes me back to the home page as well as turning the bee back on. (As if I clicked both Home and "I miss the bee" at the same time.)

Hang in there!

Liz

Just to confirm what Liz and Bob said - happens to me as well in IE 6.0 Win XP Pro except I get a scroll bar on the About and Client pages, just no text to scroll. Works fine in Firefox. Bee takes me home in both browsers as well.

Also, I'd like it to set a cookie so that I don't have to disable the damn bee everytime I visit.

Thank you for the info guys! Let me know if you have any other problems (you know, if you have a free moment and notice something).

My designer is out of town this week, but we will be working on it next week.

Seriously, I really appreciate it! For whatever reason- it looks perfect on all 3 of my computers...so I never would have known there was an issue!

For now, he put up a 'loading' bar on the client page...obvisously this won't stay- it's just until I decide what to do. I hate it, but I may move the characters outside the frame into the white space. I think the client page is really important, and I don't want to risk it not working.

Amy...News is now The Buzz! Thank you for such a great idea- we all went 'duh' when I mentioned it to the designers!! Kiss Kiss

Kara,

Most likely it looks perfect on all of your computers because the basic elements of the site are in your local cache. You're probably not seeing it "live on the Internet" each time.

Kara,

FWIW...

Don't know if this has already been mentioned or not... but it sure would be nice to have a "back" button/link on the "about" and "client" pages. Once I go to them I cant get back to your home page??? Of course I'm kinda old and senile so I could be overlooking them Embarrassed

Uh oh, there should be a 'home' link at the top of the frame, just above it...no good?

Doh!

I told you I was old and stupid.

I was only looking inside the frame because that's where everything else is for site navigation.

Sorry
