OK, this is less a call for a 'critique' and more a call from a technical end.
Here's my new site! http://www.karaedwardsvo.com
Websites are very subjective, you may love it or hate it. That is ok, I appreciate your critique and feedback What I'm really looking for are a few technical items...as the final touches are still being added.
Here's what I need...
Is the new site coming up on your screen or is it still my old site? (the new site is bright yellow and has a bee)
Can you turn the bee on/off with the button at the bottom?
Is the orange frame a lovely orange or neon orange? (I want it to be lovely)
Are the 'client' and 'about' sections working? What about the 'news' button?
Demos playing ok? Can you download them?
Is there anything that is misspelled or acting up on the site?
I really appreciate your help on this! We are in the final phases of development and I want to make sure I haven't overlooked anything!
Oh, and Bob, Bob, Amy, Brian, etc...thank you so much for your feedback you've already given- it has helped SO MUCH! (hopefully you will notice a few improvements based on your previous comments!) Thanks guys! _________________ Threadjackers local 420

Ugh. On my Mac...it's perfect...on my husband's PC- it comes up half...on my PC it's my old site.
My designer is out for the day- but can hopefully have it fixed this weekend.
Thanks for your help Amy! And I forgot to mention Mary...she rocks! She gave me some helpful feedback! _________________ Threadjackers local 420

Hi
I got the new site, it took a looooong time to load and I don't see the bee.
The orange frame looks good.
I don't think the client about or next sections are working, I waited and nothing really seemd to happen. The demos didn't play for me.
STOP PRESS: I just went back and checked and it does all look OK and loads fine and I can move between pages, so I reckon it must take a very long time for the first load...........you might want to address this, casting people have notoriously short attention spans.
I am viewing on a Mac Book Pro using Firefox 2.0.0.4.

Thanks David! I'm wondering if my designer might be working on it now. He mentioned being out for the day, but he may be back already. It loads quickly normally. I appreciate the heads up as I will look into it! _________________ Threadjackers local 420

Warning: Your designer's own personal corporate site has an unacceptably long loading time. I think they value fancy over function.

It's probably just when it loads into the cache for the first time......but my attention started to wander.
It looks great when you are in. _________________ www.davidmonteath.com

Kara, the site was very slow to load for me and still when I try to play clips in the Clients section, the voice comes in and out choppily. Plus the whole thing just feels sloooow to navigate. Probably that damn bee.
I know you're shooting for cute, but I'm afraid the site is going to be a turn off for some. _________________ Jeff

Loaded right up for me. I like it! I can toggle the bee and the demos were right there.

Kara,
I regret to say that on my system (WinXP Pro SP2) in both Firefox 2..0.0.6 and Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.11 it was your old site that loaded. I've tried clearing my browser's cache and it still goes to your old site, with both browsers. _________________ Be well,

Probably a DNS server issue, Bob. If Kara switched web providers, it can take up to a week for everyone around the world to see the new site. _________________ Jeff

I really do appreciate the feedback! Yeah, I have a feeling it could take a bit for the change-over to occur. Plus, the site is still being worked on (there were a few typos, etc.)
Did I mention this morning, for the first time in my life, I was stung by a honey-bee? On my spine. He was caught in my shirt. It wasn't his fault. I cursed...alot.
Isn't it funny how ironic life can bee? _________________ Threadjackers local 420

Jeffrey,
I agree. But, since it was one of the matters about which Kara asked specifically, I thought it worthwhile to post.
And Kara, I'm very sorry to hear of your encounter with that ironic bee. May you fully recover, and quickly! _________________ Be well,

All works fine on this end! I also noticed the long load time, and strongly recommend addressing it, as some might mistakenly read the initially blank page as a failure to load. Not everyone is willing to wait, or will know that they have to wait.
Only hiccup that leapt out at me was on the About page. The last testimonial clip has a wrapping issue. Looks something like this:
