I wanted to put the debate to rest on when the movie short came out. We know it was a while back, Don had hair, but I found this clip from John Leader's site - http://www.johnleader.com

"In the advertising community I might be forever linked to the infamous "Five Men And A Limo" short film presented at the 1997 Key Art Awards. Specially produced for the movie trailer industry's annual kudos, the film featured the five top trailer voices - Don LaFontaine, Nick Tate, Mark Elliott, Al Chalk, and me - spoofing our own "styles" in rare on-camera performances. It played to a packed house and has since gone on to cult status with video bootleg copies moving throughout the industry even today."

Was Hal Douglas the only real vo in that short? I need to watch it again, but everyone else was on camera. Based on that data, the implications (using Vulcan logic) would be that Hal, was indeed, the true voiceover king at the time the short was produced.

Those were all the real VO guys as named by Dan-O. The joke was on Hal, that's all.

I think Kevin's point was Hal was the only VO in the movie. The rest were on camera. SO, Hal got the VO gig and they didn't. Therefore making him the king of VO. Laugh

Also, after a second watch, did you notice the innocent character development of Mark Elliot , the Disney voice? The yellow Mr. Rogers sweater and the kid-like "OK" at the end while skipping toward the door.

No wonder this flick is still floating around.
