About the "voices" on my website. As a producer of radio and tv commercials,
I find most agencies allow me to cast the voice. Most smaller and medium sized agencies don't have time to listen to a bunch of demos, and don't want to. I'll determine what they want and cast it. If they really don't like the
voice(s), I'll send them two or three others to listen to.

Most of the work I do is "last minute" on the agencies part. Hence, ASAP Audio. Sadly, we rarely have time to make things as perfect and great as we'd like.

Tip to VOs: Send your demos to, and make friends with your local recording studios. Everybody would rather do business with people close to home, if possible.

Talk about small world!

When I first saw Bill's name on here, I thought I knew him. Then I saw the 919 area codes on his website. It had to be him. So I sent an Email and called him. Turns out, it was him! Little history... he was the production director at the radio cluster I used to do traffic reporting for. I also was a production assistant and Bill was the one that taught me the boards and everything else I needed to know about the studio there. I continued to be the assistant after he left the role, but he was the first guy that "showed me the ropes" in a real production studio (when management didn't feel the need for a production assistant).

Sorry for the book, but I think Bill's a great guy. Next thing you know, he shows up on the VO-BB! Just thought I'd share.
