The final details about registration information are now available for this year's Dan O'Day "International Radio Creative and Production Summit."

As those who've been here for most of the last year know, I've attended this event every year since 1997. Some times it's more focused on writing and production, which other years more on voiceover. This is one of the latter. Pat Fraley and Don LaFontaine are both confirmed to be there.

Unlike VOICE, this is an event intended for more than just voiceover folks. There will be a lot of radio station people there (creative services directors, production managers, writers) and it's always a very international event. Folks from Singapore, Europe, Australia and Latin America are almost always in attendance. It's also smaller. Registration is limited to 100.

Details are available here at Dan's site. The lowest price for registration is available through the end of May. I've already registered. If you're going, it would be a good idea to register sooner, rather than later.

Hi Bob,

We met at the Summit in 2001 (I believe). I plan on going this year.
See you there!

Bob,

You know I'll be there! It seems very VO intensive compared to past years. No Dave Foxx, etc.

Oh man. I would so love to do this, but I can't imagine I'll be able to afford it.

Next year.

I'm dropping a quick note here to bring this thread back up to the top, since the Summit is now only about a month away. You can still save $100 on the registration of you sign up before the end of July. Details are at:

http://www.danoday.com/summit.shtml

As you'll see Pat Fraley is one of the presenters this year, and Don LaFontaine will also be featured. Plus casting director Terry Berland. Good stuff for us voiceover folk, this year.

I sure hope I get to see you there. (And Amy, even if you can't go, I hope I get to see your smiling face again while I'm there in LA.)

Have fun! I'll be here at my very own Summit. I call it My Very Own Summit. At My Very Own Summit, you can learn awesome new dialects like: Shi' ite Non-terroist, Shi' ite Terrorist, Sunni Non-Terrorist, Sunni Terrorist, and much much more! There will be evening activities to include (potentially every night) fireworks! Drink specials for everyone...all the water you can drink. The deadline is fast approaching. Call today!
(I've failed almost every Dan O'Day tip)

Cots will be available for everyone. Warm showers...all the time. Cold water doesn't exist here. Bullets are not required. Vests may or may not be available.
