What I learned about DLF:
He has only had laryngitis once- he takes care of his voice.
He's funny.
Not kinda funny...REALLY funny.
His favorite curse word is Mother F@$%ER!
I went in not sure what to expect. My mother secretly had no real interest in being with me that evening (although she wouldn't admit it at the time). When we left she said she was SO grateful to have gone- even non-vo peeps end up adoring Don! Obviously the guy has the pipes- but he's a good guy too! _________________ Threadjackers local 420

What I took to heart was when he said, "love the words". _________________ Bobbin Beam

Yeah, and he said that after I asked him how he kept it fresh after reading 200 spots in one day - for the same TV show!!!!

I also thought his comments about the music of voiceover was very telling. There are so many places of overlap between singing and voiceover: rhythm, pitch, and phrasing being some of the key elements. _________________ Be well,

The rep from AFTRA was telling me and Liz that DLFs "people" said he had a hard out at 8:05 the night he spoke at Voice and he said "I'm not leaving until I have had a chance to shake hands and talk with everyone who wants to meet me....wow. He didn't have to stay, he wanted to stay and meet us....what a really nice thing....he was just so genuine and interested in each of us (or he faked it really good)

Pat Fraley changed his and Jen's flight arrangements for the same reason.
I love this biz. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

DLF and Pat have new found respect from me. Not that I didn't already have a ton for each of them. That is so cool of them to hang around to meet everyone. It has to be very encouraging. |
