Check it out Saturday around sunset. Total eclipse is @ 6:21 EST. East coasters have the best chance to see it.
Much like a great sunset, the Earth's atmosphere filters out all but the red light rays and bends them around toward the moon.

Our photography club has set a meetup Saturday night; but with this crazy weather system, I don't know if we'll be able to see anything.
The head of our group is into astronomy big time so he'll be bringing his telescope. Don't know if I'll be able to get any good pictures with my old P&S digital camera - but if the skies clear up - I'll try.
