				| What kind of Mac do you have?

Most of them come ready-to-roll with a pretty dandy sound interface.

 All except the Quicksilver Towers.

 MOTU has a good interface.

Edirol has some good Analog-to-digital interfaces.

 What sound a
  will you be using? _________________

				| I'm looking at getting the G5. I'm really just in the investigation stages. I was weened on Mac....An old 512 was my first computer. It was built by a chop shop that added a fan and hard drive. Ohh those were the days...what would we ever do to fill a big 20mb drive???

So I'm not real sure about software (audio interface) nor the sound card.

 Thanks!

				| I should note, that's a G5 tower, perhaps dual proc. But more than likely single proc.

				| You'll see at Apple.com the specs for the new G5's have:

Optical digital audio input, optical digital audio output, analog audio input, analog audio output, front headphone minijack and speaker

You won't need a card unless your sound editing a
calls for a proprietary interface. _________________
