For those who do not know why we should not accept $500/£ etc for doing a TV commercial VO job, this may help, it's only a few minutes of your time.

I love it when you talk numbers!
Seriously, that was brilliant way of explaining customer reach, its associated costs, the commercial value of mass media, and how we fit in. _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

I am unable to identify the other 5 who watched. I shared this with the EQUITY audio committee, I've been a member of Equity for around 25 years - Tumbleweed. Tweeted and Rt'd on Twitter, pretty much ZIP.
6 people watched, I'm delighted.
I was asked recently about the biggest struggle in VO work.
"If I'm honest, it's with reality" I replied.
She laughed. I didn't. Cue deep breath.
"Explain?"
I did and we're still friends. |

i watched. it doesn't stop at voiceover. i recommended it to my son who is trying to break into the film business doing freelance video in denver. he is already well aware that there is someone who will do "it" for less. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

It's a battle but worth it when you win. Sadly, many do not lose they are simply forced to give up.
First lesson for me when I went into investment management was to set my Stop Loss. Should the value of my investment fall to that level, sell. No regrets, no changing my mind then forget all about it and move on to the next opportunity. |

I just had a multilingual agency ask if I'd do 3 to 5 minute long video narrations for $70 each. There would be two or more per month! The one example they sent had had 30 views in 3 months so I feel for them, but a guy/gurl/girl has to have standards.
During my "hungry" days many years ago I might have jumped on it, but now, not so much.
