|Any users of Mac OS X who also use one or more external drives on the Firewire bus ever notice this?
When putting the computer to sleep or shutting it down, and sometimes even on startup, I will see the activity lights on my two Firewire drives begin blinking furiously and in unison. It's what you might see when the drive is being indexed; what appears to be constant reading (and/or writing?). This has sometimes prevented the computer from moving forward with whatever mode it was just put in. But, other times, it will show this activity only for a minute or so and then stop, allowing the computer to proceed.
Apart from this, the two drives behave perfectly normally.
