Asking for someone else, but, is there an abbreviation list, glossery, or terms list used when doing the listening part of editing for an audiobook? i.e.: LP = Long Pause, ML = missing (insert what's missing here), LB = Loud Breath, etc.

Is there a forum for audiobook editors to discuss the genre'? If so, what is the url? If not, why not?

Pointers and tips are welcome as I will pass them along.

Personally I do my own personal style. Then, have others listen and mark the time as to where something is amiss and go from there. But, who am I?

There are a couple of Facebook groups dedicated to audiobook QC and editing professionals. You might get what you're looking for through them.

My DW has been QCing for quite a while now and she has her own shorthand that the narrators she works with know and seem to appreciate. She does it on an Excel spread sheet which remembers your abbreviations and will print a complete word or phrase with just a keystroke or two. Page number and time code in the chapter are the kindest things you can do.
