Steve Anthony mentioned The Long Tail in the thread about TV nostalgia, "Looking Back".
Yep-- The Long Tail should be required reading for all of us engaged in Niche Marketing, and I think that means all of us here. Pat Fraley recommended it to me, and I'm a convert.
No matter how far out you go on a graph ranking popularity of, in this case, songs-- the demand never drops to zero. That right-hand side of the graph is The Long Tail.

I've been using the "long tail" in my marketing efforts for audio book narration for the past few months. Don't know if it is having any effect but I figure it can't hurt. _________________ Elaine

The above illustration is also a stark reminder to save your jpg images at a decent quality—60 or higher—or use the gif compression. That pixelation is meh! _________________ DBCooperVO.com
