Thursday night, 8pm.
It's the time Brits hang out of their windows and applaud the emergency services, essential and health workers. I hear that there's going to be much Funky Gibboning then.
For most people here, Tim will be unknown... but he was part of the "collective" from which grew Python et al. Many people don't realize that the famous "Four Yorkshiremen" sketch actually pre-dates Python and was written by Tim, John Cleese, Graham Chapman, and Marty Feldman in 1967 for "At Last The 1948 Show". Tim is mainly remembers for being part of The Goodies, contemporaries of Python (more of a surreal sit-com, a tad sillier and more family friendly than Python). He has been an ever-present figure on the British comedy landscape... his humor universal, the essential schoolboy who never grew up.
Angus Prune remembers him well.
