Anybody have a favorite stopwatch app (Android)? I'm reading scripts with pretty tight timing (this sentence 4 seconds, that sentence 8 seconds, etc.) and I'd like something...really convenient. |

iPhones have a clock app that works well. Maybe your Android does too? Also try your App Store. I’ll bet there are a dozen free and cheap apps to choose from.

i don't know if this is stock or just pixel for android, but on the main screen after unlocked, i click on the time of day which takes me to an app with four options: alarm, clock, timer, and stopwatch. the stopwatch is pretty decent and i use that for script timings when i don't have timecodes entered into my DAW. |

Ha! Every now and then I ask a bonehead question. I'd automatically started looking at apps before I even realized there was a built in function on my phone for this. There is, it's perfect, and....I'll be moving along now... |

a note... only recently did I also 'discover' that my iphone has a stopwatch attached to the CLOCK thingie..
.-AND-
that that stopwatch can do EITHER
a digitalstic BIG NUMBERS IN A ROW style display
OR
A darned good emulation of a classic stopwatch dial...
- goes along with my all-too-easily-impressed fascination with the COMPASS which also a click away has a LEVEL feature...
about which the ONLY thing it's good for is showing how completely incapable I am of holding my phone precisely parallel to the ground... or seal level... or something _________________ SoundscenesDC, main talent and production offices just 385k km up the gravity well in LuNoHoCo Center, old satellite studios still bookable at the future site of Johnson City! |

Until reading this thread, I only ever used the Android Clock app as an alarm clock. I never noticed it had a stopwatch function. I had previously downloaded a stopwatch app but deleted because I almost never used it and I needed to clear space on the phone for something else. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.
