Todd, I don't think it affects us as non-union voice talent all that much. And as a small producer outside CA, I really don't think (although no one really seems to know) it would affect your hiring practices at all.
What I don't know as talent is who has decided not to consider me because I live in CA. Maybe no one. Although I know others who have lost large contracts because the company just doesn't want to deal with the paperwork (perhaps wrongly assuming that the person doesn't fall into the B2B exemption).
The reality may come next year at tax time. I will be talking to my tax guy in a couple of weeks to see what his take is on all of this.
