I just want to make sure I haven't missed any changes in billing practices.

A medical client has a script for each of five different animations, totaling 18 minutes.

Is common practice now to lump them all together into a single "package" rate (provided they can be recorded together), or invoice each separately, where a minimum would apply?

I’ve mostly seen narration fees treated as an hourly rate for services rendered in studio, so if all of the scripts are similar in nature and from the same company I would likely base my fee on that. That being said, how long it will take you to complete the project is your estimate to make. I usually come up with a number that seems fair to them and is usually quite fair to me.

On a related concept, I have a company that sends me several 90 second to two minute long scripts scattered throughout the year. I feel bad about charging full rate for them so they get a bit of a discount. I've explained they'd save a bit by bunching them together, but that rarely happens.
