WXRT is one of if not the best radio stations in the country.
Going to the Show with a Regular Guy was a staple listen on my morning commutes when I lived there.

My best friend went to college in Chicago '88-'92. He turned me on to XRT. What a fantastic station. At the time, they had over 17,000 albums in their on-air library. After a DJ played a song, they couldn't repeat the artist for three days and had to spin a different track. For comparison, most mainstream rock stations of the day had about 350-400 individual songs for their entire playlist.

True Dat. Which is why so many Chicagoans listened because the playlists were always fresh.

I don't think I listened to 92.7. Was that the Polish rock station? Smile You'd have ta be hoistin an Old Style to polka to dat!

Which was another thing I loved about Chicago. All the ethnic neighborhoods. What a place to eat! One of my top 5 cities in the US for food.

But I haveta say Marty Lennartz is da best as da regular guy. So get out there and go to the movies!
