I encountered two new political producers this year so I've been much busier than in past elections slamming the missteps of others and lauding the virtues of "our gal or guy". Got an email this morning from one of them saying we're down to our last few. I shot back,

Quote:
What!?? This won’t go on forever? What about the “Vote No on Turkey… Go Vegetarian!” campaign. Or the “Stop Slavery at the North Pole… Just Tell Santa Claus No” issue?

Oh well. All good things must end I suppose.

B

P.S. I do feel a bit hypocritical internally cursing the back to back ads I see on local TV here and realizing my voice is part of that noise in several other states right now. Sigh.

It's one of the reasons I don't look at commercial television at this time of year.

(or hardly ever in general)

Same here Bruce,

I was on two gubernatorial campaigns, 3 senatorial campaigns, and two congressional campaigns that started producing prior to the primaries and we've been knocking out spots every week since then.

But between elections the political ads still flow ... the DC area gets blanketed with lobbyist ads whenever a bill comes up for a vote so if you're locked in with a political production house then the work flow continues, just not at the same pace.
