I just got this in an email from someone in one of the groups I belong to. It's Dan Castellaneta's character voice demo. (the guy who does Homer Simpson).
Talk about impressive! I thought those of you character voice talents that haven't heard it yet might enjoy it.

"Wow" is an understatement. A reminder that it takes serious chops to compete with the big dogs.
Instructive, too! I'll be working on my Michael Caine later. _________________ Great Voice. Great Choice. For Voice Talking and stuff.

Dan certainly doesn't need advice from me—but I'm not nuts about it.
It got old at about a minute long and I shut it off at 1:30.
I KNOW how brilliant the guy is.
This demo? Not brilliant.
but... who cares what I think? Certainly not CESD. Nor Dan.
I would never advise anyone to model their demo after this one, that's all. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

Yeah...a tad long. But when you're Homer Simpson, ya get to break the rules.
At about 1:30 I was tempted to click out; but because he is who he is, I elected to listen to the whole 3 minutes and change.
And I'm sure my opine is worth, oh, two cents? _________________ www.voiceoverdrew.com

The interesting demo is the one that got him The Simpsons job and the work prior to that.
What would happen if someone posted a demo of a big hitter voice and changed the name............ |
