In the world of knowledge and experience people with credible measures of both choose to sell or simply share for altruistic reasons "How to .."
Not only in our world but in business too many people who know nothing are spreading like spready things.
I am not selling myself as a coach but think about this fact. I did my first UK network TV promo in 1994. My most recent TV promo session( 2 promos for worldwide transmission) took place a 0615 BST today. If I offered myself to a VO conference or blog interview or podcast I couldn't get arrested. If I DARED to ask for money I would be spurned as a rabid dog!

Gee, do I need to start a new section here, "Where NOT to start when you're new to VO"?
Some of these folks remind me of the late night infomercials with spokespeople telling you how to make millions flipping houses. If you're so flipping successful at it why are you spending your time selling your secrets?

There's a lot of desperation out there. It will lead people to buy almost anything to try to solve whatever burning problem is at hand. Problem is, VO buyers can smell desperation miles away. If that's where you're coming from, you're not gonna be booking the work you've just paid to learn how to get, anyway.
Read and learn all you possibly can from the most reputable sources you can find, and talk to people who are actually successful at doing the thing. It's been my experience that they're usually happy to share information and advice.
